He graduated from Lipscomb University with a BA in Studio Art and minors in English and German. While at Lipscomb, he served as president of the Art Student Association. He is now attending Watkins College of Art and Design in pursuit of a BFA. He dislikes post modernism and is inclined to use stronger language than “dislikes.”

Amanda Tumblin

Amanda Tumblin

Bio

Amanda Tumblin, Nashville native, is on the cusp of finishing her BA in English and German at Lipscomb University. She was recently awarded first place in the formal essay category at the 2008 Southern Literary Festival for her piece entitled A Confederacy of Unwashed Masses: A Confederacy of Dunces and Bakhtin’s Ambivalent Laughter.

Her love of lit theory (particularly Bakhtin and feminist theory) is by no means an indication of egoism. In her own words, “I’m not pretentious in a playing-scrabble-in-public way, but I refuse to read crap.” She enjoys every era in literature, with the exception of early American. She attributes her distaste for that particular period to reading James Fennimore Cooper at a young age and being scarred by various unsavory aspects of his being.

Amanda also likes magazines as a hyper-current version of books. She considers them to be under-appreciated and is interested in fashion as a text.

Stephen Bohn

Josh Sullivan

Bio

Stephen P. Bohn was born as a baby in the greater downriver Detroit area. Growing up, he wanted to be an astronaut and until recently had aspirations of playing professional basketball. As a matter of fact he was *this* close to being drafted to play in the NBA. The only things that stopped him were his lack of height, his lack of ability and the fact that he never played in an organized league beyond eighth grade... Other than that... *this* close, friends.
He has spent the best parts of his twenties in vans and buses cris-crossing the nation for all things musical. Most of the time, he was happy to get a burrito or cheeseburger and a beer out of the deal. Actually, he's pretty happy to get a burrito or cheeseburger and a beer out of any deal. Actually, he thinks that sounds pretty good right about now.
He has a business degree from the University of Michigan and he's incredibly talented and handsome and smart and modest and can make the most run-on of run-on-y sentences work... Case in point. Professionally, he is the Director of Human Resources at a small finance company in downtown Nashville and also volunteers his time to Invisible Children, Nashville Cares and the seemingly ill-fated Ron Paul for President in 2008 Campaign.
He enjoys tattoos, all things related to the world of 'Pirates of the Caribbean' (go ahead... ask him), cheeseburgers, his beard, music, movies, being outside, climbing mountains and having adventures. He also considers running the Country Music Half Marathon to be the single best and worst decision he has ever made.
